Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate) – One of the most vital ingredients in any effective skin care regimen, vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles & discoloration, while fighting aging free radicals from UV exposure.

Shea Butter – Used in Africa for centuries for its moisturizing & soothing properties, shea butter is a rich source of the powerful antioxidants vitamins A & E, crucial fatty acids, and cinnamic acid.

Pomegranate Seed Oil – Potent antioxidant that is an excellent source of ellagic acid.

Resveratrol – Super potent antioxidant with powerful anti-aging properties. Helps fight off aging free radicals from UV exposure.

Squalane (vegan) – Highly effective emollient and antioxidant that hydrates & soothes the skin.

What is non-nano zinc oxide?
Zinc oxide is a mineral and the active ingredient in many mineral sunscreens. It sits on top of your skin (rather than soaking in, like chemical sunscreens do) and scatters, absorbs, and reflects the sun’s rays to protect you. Non-nano essentially means that the particles are too large to pass through the skin. The concern with super-small nanoparticles is that they can find their way into your body by penetrating your skin and getting into your bloodstream. And while a nanoparticle will enter your bloodstream, a non-nano particle won’t.

Does this product contain oxybenzone?

This stuff is MAGICAL!

I have very fair skin & need to wear sunscreen. Every other sunscreen leaves a white film, making me look whiter than I am & I end up looking like I have white foundation on.
But Mad Hippie tinted serum is magical! Goes on super smooth and blends in so well WITHOUT a white film! It just looks like perfect foundation! Thank you!!!

Best daily spf

This is the best daily SPF I’ve come across yet! I went with the light tint to match my skin tone, and it rubs right in as a serum after my first serum and before my face cream. It doesn’t have an excessive amount of tint (doesn’t come off on clothes excessively etc) and It doesn’t feel like wearing sunscreen at all. I really appreciate the non nano zinc, so it is a healthy and safe daily spf!

Great everyday SPF!

I really love this! I normally haven't been wearing anything on my face (literally only use jojoba oil to moisturize and that's it) but I wanted to add a daily SPF for sun protection. I was looking for something with natural ingredients as my skin is pretty sensitive to chemicals, and glad I found Mad Hippie! The tint is nice, it's very subtle, which is what I wanted. Feels great on my skin, like it's not even there, and comes off great with the Mad Hippie cleansing oil.

This is hands down the best tinted sunscreen I have ever used! I have tried so many different brands and they either leave me too shiny or too matte. This is the perfect balance between the two. AMAZING product! I have high standards when it comes to sun protection and expect my face sunscreen to basically perform a miracle lol! What I expect...
1.Mineral only filters.
2. Quality protection w/ a caveat- I don't expect my everyday sunscreen to contain a high SPF (over 30) I'll pump up protection on days I'm going to be out in the sun for extended periods of time.
3. Minimal dry time! I don't have time in my morning to let my SPF set for 20 minutes before I move on to make-up. let me tell you this is the best I have tried! It sets almost immediately but is NOT drying!!! Usually, I have to compromise dry time to get an SPF with hydration that does not cake, make my skin look parched, or settle into fine lines and wrinkles! Not anymore! Somehow, this SPF leaves my skin looking plump and hydrated without looking shiny, or dewy! No pilling :)
4. Tinted but not too tinted! I want some tint to combat white cast and add a layer of protection for blue light, but I don't want it to look orange or unnatural.
5. Added benefits! Given the cost of quality face sunscreen, I want other beneficial ingredients to help with photoaging and repair!
